Job Description
About the Role A growing distribution company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead warehouse, inventory, fulfillment, and transportation operations. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, transportation, safety, systems administration, and team development. The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with operational discipline and a continuous improvement mindset. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building teams, improving processes, leveraging technology, and driving measurable results. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day warehouse, inventory, fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and transportation operations. Develop and maintain a safe, organized, and high-performing warehouse environment. Establish and monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, productivity, shipping performance, safety, and operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve accuracy, efficiency, service levels, and accountability. Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) across warehouse and logistics functions. Build cross-training programs and reduce operational dependencies through workforce development and knowledge sharing. Manage and optimize warehouse workflows, inventory movement, storage utilization, and order fulfillment processes. Oversee operational use of ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms while identifying opportunities for process and system improvements. Collaborate with purchasing and leadership teams to improve inventory visibility, replenishment planning, and overall operational performance. Lead, coach, develop, and hold team members accountable to performance expectations. Support hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and workforce planning initiatives. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational best practices. Qualifications 10+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or operations management. Strong background in inventory management, inventory control, and warehouse operations. Experience developing and implementing SOPs, KPIs, and process improvement initiatives. Working knowledge of ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms. Demonstrated success leading teams, coaching employees, and driving accountability. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify operational improvement opportunities. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Lean, continuous improvement, or process optimization experience is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. What Success Looks Like High inventory accuracy and operational visibility.
