Join us and help protect what matters most! Warehouse Manager Our warehouse and operations teams play a critical role in ensuring materials move safely, accurately, and on time across our network. Viking is looking for a Warehouse Manager to lead the day-to-day warehouse operation and support the continued growth of our branch operations. This role is responsible for managing receiving, shipping, inventory, and material handling while leading the warehouse team to ensure accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency. This role also oversees the branch transportation function, including coordinating deliveries, managing drivers, and ensuring compliance with transportation and safety requirements. The Warehouse Manager works closely with branch leadership, Customer Service, and Fabrication teams to ensure orders move through the operation efficiently and customers receive the level of service expected from Viking. What You'll Be Responsible For Leading daily warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and material handling Supervising and developing warehouse employees while setting clear expectations and accountability Ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time Auditing incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure inventory accuracy Coordinating with Customer Service and Fabrication teams to support customer orders and delivery timelines Managing freight, deliveries, and transportation logistics including internal drivers Overseeing day-to-day transportation activities including dispatching, routing, and tracking shipments Hiring, training, and supervising drivers and transportation staff while managing schedules and workload Ensuring compliance with applicable DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies Coordinating vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs to maintain fleet reliability Maintaining warehouse organization, safety standards, and housekeeping expectations Conducting safety meetings and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards Troubleshooting shipping or receiving issues and working to resolve root causes Managing warehouse supplies, equipment, and minor facility needs Ensuring standard operating procedures are followed across warehouse operations Driving continuous improvement efforts including 5S and operational process improvements Managing staffing levels, scheduling, and overtime needs to support operational demand What We're Looking For 5+ years of warehouse or distribution experience 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse environment Experience working with transportation logistics, drivers, or fleet operations is a plus Familiarity with DOT regulations and transportation compliance is helpful Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience working with warehouse systems, RF technology, or inventory systems Intermediate computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and warehouse systems Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent operational experience Work Environment This position operates primarily in a warehouse environment and regularly works with material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment.
