JOB SUMMARY

The on-site Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Fresh Water Systems and Neo Logic business warehouse and in Salt Lake City, UT with the Warehouse Manager. This demanding leadership position MUST act with a sense of urgency and must be a good steward of money and fiscal responsibility. Our ideal candidate has initiative, is proactive, acts with a sense of urgency, is handy, has a sense of detail, can delegate tasks, exhibits high multitasking. Must work weekends.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the organization, development, and implementation of all strategies for the warehouse's fulfillment operations. Lead the warehouse team to ensure our product flow is efficient and cost-effective. Point person for various internal and external business partners to communicate, negotiate, and coordinate all needs related to fulfillment management. Work for Warehouse Manager to improve operations, processes, workflow, picking/packing. Scale the warehouse within the organization to meet the demands of the other business units. This is through both continuous improvement efforts and/or adding additional staffing as needed. Develop KPIs and hold warehouse employees accountable. Set expectations and hold them accountable. Coordinate the hiring, training, coaching and annual performance review of the warehouse team. Facilitate and mentor the development of team members to be outstanding team players. Drive compliance with all local, state, and federal rules to ensure safety and good business practices. Manage the relationship with our small package providers including UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL to ensure the best possible service, pricing, and quality. Look for opportunities to minimize freight costs. Responsible for planning, organizing, budgeting, and executing truck logistics in efforts to optimize the company's freight movements throughout the country including international movement of freight via boat, rail, and/or plane. Ensure we have the appropriate labor and equipment to meet our daily production goals. Assess and assist in upgrading the management talent base within the warehouse to achieve growth and meet market needs. Manage and assist in coordinating efforts between support departments within the organization. Run routine safety inspections to ensure the safety of the facilities Maintain all records. Work with leadership on developing a disaster recovery plan. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required. 7+ years' experience in warehouse management or related role. Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Must possess excellent time management skills. Ability to maintain a high level of organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced workplace. Must be comfortable with technology and work with electronic systems/software. Experience with NetSuite WMS a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The duties required are primarily not physical; however, instances may arise resulting in the need to assist the Warehouse, Assembly, and Water Purification Specialists with loading or unloading of products and materials for shipping or restocking vehicles. Perform manual tasks such as bending, reaching, standing, sitting, lifting/carrying up to 50lbs. or maneuvering heavier items with additional manpower or appropriate devices. The ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
