We are seeking a motivated and experienced Area Manager to lead our commercial cleaning operations across multiple client facilities. This role combines operational leadership and customer engagement, ensuring we deliver exceptional service while driving innovation in specialty cleaning. Expected hours would be 50+ hours per week. Flexibility is key since training and troubleshooting could happen before or after the normal shift. Evening hours are mandatory and weekends are as needed. This is not a typical 9am to 5pm position. There will also be day hours needed for customer visits and day inspections. This position manages the front-line crew, which could include full-time and part-time cleaners, along with leads and supervisors. Operations and Service Delivery Oversee daily janitorial services at sites, ensuring top-quality Develop and implement cleaning schedules, quality control measures, and operational improvements Ensure equipment, supplies, and materials are available and properly maintained Client Relationships and Account Management Act as the primary contact for clients, promptly addressing needs and concerns Conduct regular site inspections and walkthroughs with customers Prepare and present service reports and updates to both clients and leadership Staff Management and Development Recruit, train, and manage staff, team leads, and specialty crews Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to build high-performing teams Ensure compliance with policies, safety regulations, and cleaning standards Service Innovation and Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to expand services/add value for clients Research, test, and implement new cleaning technologies, equipment, and methods Train staff on innovative tools and procedures to improve efficiency and results Required Qualifications 3+ years in commercial cleaning or related field Proven leadership experience overseeing teams and sites Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated success managing specialty projects Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures Strong organizational and budget management skills Preferred Qualifications Familiar with emerging cleaning technologies Bilingual (Spanish) a plus Sales background Physical and Work Requirements Walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. during site visits Travel required between multiple client locations Flexible availability, including evenings or weekends for special projects Measures of Success High client satisfaction and retention Quality inspection/audit scores Effective staff development and retention Successful delivery of specialty projects
