We solve problems creatively, hold ourselves to high standards, and reward people who perform. If you like being trusted with real responsibility and seeing the direct results of your work, you'll fit in here. The Role You will own day-to-day fleet operations for a dedicated account, managing a team of CDL drivers out of our Athens, AL facility. You're the primary point of contact between Apache and the customer — responsible for service, safety, compliance, and the daily rhythm of the operation. When things go sideways (and in trucking, they do), you're the one who figures it out. This role requires availability for after-hours calls when operational issues arise. Outside of those situations, scheduling is consistent and predictable. What You'll Do Build and manage driver schedules; select and assign outbound loads to maximize fleet efficiency Serve as the primary liaison between Apache and our customer — maintaining a strong, trust-based relationship Coach, direct, and follow up with drivers to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard Monitor and enforce DOT/CSA compliance, driver qualification files, and safety standards Coordinate with our leasing company and outside vendors on equipment maintenance and repairs Identify operational gaps and bring practical, cost-effective solutions to leadership Collaborate with the broader Apache team on process improvements and workflow management What We're Looking For Required 5+ years of experience managing CDL drivers in a dedicated or truckload environment Strong working knowledge of DOT regulations, CSA compliance, and driver qualification file requirements Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and routing/dispatch software Excellent communication skills — you must be comfortable delivering difficult messages to both drivers and customers Proven ability to make independent decisions quickly under pressure Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball Willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time Preferred Experience managing a dedicated contract operation for a single customer Background in distribution logistics Compensation & Benefits We offer compensation and benefits that reflect how seriously we take our people:
Base Salary:
$65,000•75,000 based on experience
Safety Performance Bonus:
Quarterly bonus tied to your drivers' safety results and your account's accident rate
