Job Description

Storeroom Supervisor -
Materials Management SUMMARY:
Responsible for the routine daily storeroom operations including ordering, inventorying, stocking, and issuing all storeroom supplies. Supervises storeroom personnel and serves as liaison for the Materials Management Department between all departments and the storeroom keeping the Materials Management Director informed of storeroom activities, needs, and potential problems. Participate in committee assignments as directed by the Materials Management Director.
BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Dynamic Health and HealthStream Policy Manager. Required to work with the Director of Materials Management regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Materials Management Department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Three years storeroom/purchasing experience with a minimum one year in a healthcare related setting. Supervisory experience is desirable but not required.

Other:
Requires knowledge of basic storeroom activities in a computerized environment. Requires word processing, spreadsheet, and database skills. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to respond calmly and quickly with good judgement in stressful situations.
Preferred:
Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.

Ability to regularly stand and walk, occasionally bend, squat and twist, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds using proper body mechanics. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity with or without correction. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Work Environment Office setting, within a hospital environment Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Work schedule, 5 days a week, Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts.
