Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Control Lead to oversee and optimize our inventory management processes across warehouse distribution channels. In this pivotal role, you will lead efforts in supply chain management, demand planning, and inventory accuracy to ensure seamless operations. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, procurement, and data analytics will drive process improvements, enhance stock control, and support strategic sourcing initiatives. Join our team to play a vital role in maintaining efficient inventory flow, reducing costs, and supporting overall business growth through meticulous inventory oversight and innovative solutions. Duties Lead inventory control activities by managing stock levels, conducting root cause analysis of discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high accuracy. Oversee warehouse distribution operations, including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling to ensure timely delivery and optimal stock positioning. Utilize data mining, data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau, and supply chain analytics to analyze inventory trends, forecast demand, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and supplier management to optimize purchasing costs and ensure reliable supply chains. Manage warehouse management system (WMS) and ERP platforms such as Odoo for real-time inventory tracking, reporting, and data collection. Conduct financial analysis related to pricing strategies, inventory valuation, and cost reduction initiatives using financial modeling techniques. Coordinate with logistics providers including 3PL (third-party logistics) partners to streamline shipping & receiving processes while ensuring compliance with safety standards like forklift operation. Develop and implement category management strategies that enhance merchandising effectiveness while reducing excess stock through demand planning insights. Perform analysis skills-driven reviews of stock turnover rates using Nielsen or retail management data to inform stocking decisions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing supply chain processes, identifying bottlenecks, and applying lean methodologies for efficiency gains. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management with a strong background in warehouse distribution, inventory control, and materials management. Demonstrated expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as Odoo, and data analytics tools including Power BI or Tableau. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis, financial modeling, and demand planning using SQL or other data collection methods. Excellent negotiation skills for procurement activities coupled with supplier management experience. Hands-on warehouse experience including materials handling equipment operation such as forklifts; certification preferred. Knowledge of logistics operations including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, 3PL coordination, and materials handling procedures. Familiarity with sourcing strategies, contracts management, e-commerce logistics, and retail merchandising practices. Ability to analyze large datasets for supply chain insights using tools like Nielsen or supply chain analytics platforms. Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead process improvements across multiple teams while managing competing priorities effectively.
