Title:
Automotive Parts Manager Very busy automotive dealership looking for an Automotive Parts Manager with dealership experience to start right away! The Parts Manager is responsible for running a profitable and efficient Parts Department. You will accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control and logistics, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying and advertising. This position will work closely with the Fixed Operations Director, the Service Manager, and Technicians, serving as the single point of contact for parts-related issues within the shop. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Parts Manager Responsibilities:
Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department Ensure parts are inventoried per set guidelines Demonstrate leadership and strive to ensure harmony and team work with staff and other departments Maintain proper stocking levels by utilizing our parts inventory management system, (RIM) and minimize obsolescence Work with Service Manager and other departments to ensure all parts are obtained in a timely manner Ensure all warranty parts are properly retained and returned to the manufacturer as required Prepare an annual business plan for the parts department Set sales objective for the parts staff and calculate monthly incentives as needed Maintain a clean receivable and parts schedule Coordinate all parts returns and scraps for OEM and non OEM returns Manage and complete an annual parts inventory and calculate LIFO Research and assist in obtaining problem parts such as back orders Continue to support our fleet and wholesale presence and meet goals established Ensure the department is compliant with state and federal regulations
Parts Manager Requirements:
Automotive Parts Management experience (preferably automotive dealership experience) Must have strong working knowledge of vehicle parts at wholesale and customer level Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient knowledge of dealership's computer system. Valid Driver's license
