This role owns supplier strategy, supply planning, and supply chain readiness across capital equipment, disposable medical devices, spare parts, and field service tools. The individual will play a critical role in enabling design transfer, supporting production scale-up, and establishing a reliable, cost-effective supply chain to support global growth and field operations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic thinking and operational execution in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Responsibilities 1. Supply Chain Strategy & Scale Up Define and execute a supply chain strategy aligned with commercialization and production scale-up objectives Build a scalable supply chain across capital systems, disposables, and service components Identify and mitigate risks related to single-source suppliers, long lead-time components, and capacity constraints Develop cost-reduction and supply continuity strategies while maintaining quality and compliance 2. Supplier Strategy & Critical Component Ownership Own sourcing and supplier management for critical components across:
  • Capital systems (e.g., laser systems, optical assemblies, precision electromechanical parts)
  • Disposable (Patient Interface
  • Spare parts and service components Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to support reliability, responsiveness, and technical alignment Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, and long-term agreements Drive supplier performance across delivery, quality, and cost metrics 3.
Design Transfer & Production Readiness Partner with Design Transfer team, Manufacturing, and R D to support design transfer of core system and disposable products into scalable production Ensure suppliers are aligned with product specifications, process requirements, and quality standards Support engineering changes and product iterations with minimal disruption to supply Enable manufacturing readiness to meet production plans and deployment schedules 4. Planning, Inventory & Execution Lead demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management across:
  • Capital systems and subassemblie
  • Disposable (Patient Interface)
  • Spare parts and field service inventory Ensure alignment with production plans, field deployments, and service requirements Define inventory strategies (safety stock, min/max, service levels) Oversee day-to-day purchasing and material flow 5.
Systems & Scalable Infrastructure Own and optimize ERP/MRP systems (QAD) to support planning, procurement, inventory control, and service parts management Establish scalable processes for forecasting, purchasing, and supplier management across all product categories Implement data-driven reporting and KPIs to support decision-making 6. Quality & Regulatory Compliance Ensure all supply chain activities comply with applicable regulatory and quality system requirements (e.g., ISO 13485) Partner with Quality on supplier qualification, audits, and corrective actions Support traceability, documentation, and control requirements for both capital and disposable products Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline (advanced degree a plus) Experience aligned to a Senior Manager level of 8-12 years Proven experience scaling supply chain operations from development or early-stage production into commercial readiness Demonstrated expertise in supplier strategy, sourcing, and performance management, including complex or critical components Experience across capital equipment, disposable/consumable products, and/or service parts strongly preferred Strong background in supply planning, inventory strategy, and MRP/Master Scheduling Experience leading cross-functional initiatives (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance) and driving alignment Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., medical device, ISO 13485) and with ERP/MRP systems (QAD or similar)
