This role is critical to maintaining inventory integrity, supporting customer satisfaction, reducing operational variances, and ensuring accountability throughout receiving, storage, fulfillment, and shipping activities. Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Accuracy & Reconciliation
  • Maintain and improve inventory accuracy across multiple customers and facilities.
  • Perform detailed inventory reconciliations between warehouse management systems, customer records, and physical inventory.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and adjustment activity.
  • Audit inventory transactions for accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Review and validate cycle count results and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Identify recurring inventory issues and develop long-term corrective measures. Inventory Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze inventory trends, adjustments, transaction activity, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Identify recurring inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory performance reports.
  • Monitor inventory KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support customer inventory reviews, audits, and business reviews.
  • Develop reporting tools to proactively identify inventory risks and inventory control concerns.
  • Partner with operations leadership to drive inventory performance improvements. Operational Auditing
  • Conduct audits of receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Verify proper inventory handling and transaction execution throughout warehouse operations.
  • Investigate recurring inventory issues and recommend sustainable solutions.
  • Document findings and communicate corrective action plans to management.
  • Ensure operational compliance with inventory control standards and customer requirements. Inventory Governance & Compliance
  • Review inventory adjustments for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval.
  • Monitor inventory transactions to identify trends, exceptions, and process breakdowns.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain documentation supporting inventory investigations and corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory movements and location accuracy.
  • Escalate recurring inventory issues and work with operational teams to implement corrective measures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory-related customer inquiries and discrepancy investigations. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify process gaps affecting inventory accuracy and service levels.
  • Participate in system enhancements and inventory control initiatives.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Train operational personnel on inventory control processes and standards.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements designed to improve inventory accuracy, transaction integrity, and operational efficiency. Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years of inventory control, inventory management, auditing, supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated experience investigating inventory discrepancies and determining root causes across receiving, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
  • Strong understanding of inventory transactions and warehouse process flows.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and identify patterns, trends, and operational opportunities.
  • Experience conducting inventory audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Experience in a third-party logistics (3PL), distribution center, or warehouse environment.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • SQL reporting experience or the ability to write and analyze database queries.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing inventory reviews, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Experience leading inventory control initiatives across multiple facilities or customers.

From $80,000.00 per year
