Position Overview The Senior Materials & Inventory Supervisor will lead inventory control activities within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, overseeing material flow, supporting production needs, and driving continuous improvement across warehouse and inventory processes. This position is based in Fresno, California and requires working on-site at our Fresno facility on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily inventory control and warehouse activities within the plant. Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, work-in-process, and finished goods. Lead cycle count programs, inventory audits, reconciliation efforts, and root cause investigations. Ensure timely and accurate ERP transactions for receipts, transfers, production consumption, adjustments, and shipments. Partner closely with Production, Purchasing, Planning, Quality, and Logistics to ensure material availability and inventory integrity. Monitor inventory trends, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy and efficiency. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with unloading trucks, organizing warehouse space, material handling, and other operational tasks as needed. Train and coach team members on inventory processes, ERP usage, warehouse organization, and best practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, process efficiency, waste reduction, and operational discipline. Help foster a culture of accountability, urgency, teamwork, and operational excellence. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics roles (small team or startup environment ideal). Comfortable doing physical work daily (lifting boxes, operating equipment, standing for long periods). Experience using shipping software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You care about accuracy and efficiency. Experience managing a small team is a plus, but leadership through action is most important. Forklift certification or equipment experience is a plus (or willingness to get certified). Experience using an ERP system.
