WHAT WE DO
InLog International is pioneering B2B ecommerce for American goods destined for international emerging markets. As an expansion of an established entity, we are building a next-generation platform that connects US wholesalers and leading American brands with international business customers. Backed by significant multi-year contracts and strategic support from industry leaders, we are scaling quickly to become the primary wholesale supplier bridging the US and Vietnam. Our partners include top brands and sellers affiliated with Walmart, Target, and Costco, with a robust, diversified model that de-risks the supply chain for all stakeholders involved.
WHAT YOU DO
We are seeking an experienced, tech-savvy Import-Export Operations Leader to own and scale all operational, compliance, and logistics processes for the flow of goods between the US and international markets. This is a full-time, executive-level position with immediate impact and visibility in our foundational US team. You will architect processes, ensure regulatory compliance, build out your own team, and manage critical customs relationships—while handling a high volume (50-100 containers/week) of goods and navigating the complexities of international shipping and trade documentation.
Key Responsibilities End-to-End Logistics Management:
Oversee and streamline compliant shipping of goods from the US to Vietnam , including customs documentation, regulatory filings, and vendor coordination.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all international shipping documents, licensing, and customs paperwork; prevent shipment holds and minimize delays or penalties.
Vendor & Partner Relations:
Serve as primary liaison to shipping partners, freight forwarders, ports, and vendors. Build and nurture relationships with both existing and new partners.
System & Process Leadership:
Select, implement, and optimize inventory and warehouse management systems (IMS/WMS/FMS) suited for our scale and business model; bring strategic perspective on technology and process.
Team Building:
Establish and lead the import/export department; hire, onboard, and supervise compliance, shipping, and purchasing support staff as volume grows.
Continuous Improvement:
Recommend and implement process enhancements, propose org structure evolutions, and proactively solve cross-border trade challenges (e.g., labeling requirements, alcohol imports, evolving Vietnamese regulations).
Strategic Initiatives:
Advise management on build vs. outsource opportunities and keep "plug-and-play" options open for scaling.
WHAT YOU'VE DONE
Substantial experience (preferably at a leadership or department-head level) in import/export operations, ideally covering Vietnam/Asia-US trade flows or similar markets. Track record of proactively establishing scalable systems, policies, and procedures for large containerized cargo volumes. Knowledge of regulatory and customs requirements (US and Vietnam), with ability to independently resolve compliance questions and operational bottlenecks. Tech-savvy with hands-on experience selecting and implementing
IMS/WMS/FMS
solutions. Demonstrated team leadership; able to hire, train, and retain support staff or bring a trusted team along. Strategic thinker—can offer input on organizational structure and process, not just execute on tasks. Self-motivated, independent, and direct communicator; thrives in fast-paced, "no handholding" environments. Vietnamese language proficiency is highly preferred, but not required; interpreters available if necessary.
WHAT YOU'LL GET
Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits 401k Competitive pay, executive-level visibility, and ground-floor equity of responsibility. Be the architect of a foundational function in a hyper-growth business with lucrative long-term contracts and international impact. Help build the leading B2B ecommerce platform for American goods in Vietnam—no direct competition in this market segment. Have autonomy to create systems, structure, and a team from the ground up—while partnering closely with visionary founders. We welcome US-based candidates from all backgrounds and will structure our interview process for speed and rigor. If you have experience in high-volume import/export, and are ready for independence and impact, we want to meet you!
