#LI-Onsite The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading all site logistics, inventory control, production planning, shipping, receiving, and material flow activities within the facility. This role oversees the coordination of materials and logistics operations to support manufacturing efficiency, customer delivery performance, inventory optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, along with expertise in material planning, logistics operations, inventory management, ERP systems, and Lean manufacturing methodologies. This position plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, improving material flow processes, and ensuring alignment between production, procurement, warehousing, and customer requirements.
Main Tasks Lead all site logistics, materials management, inventory control, production planning, receiving, warehousing, and shipping functions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing methodologies throughout the supply chain and logistics operations
Support inventory reduction initiatives while maintaining operational efficiency and customer delivery requirements
Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Sales, Planning, Procurement, and Operations teams to optimize material flow and inventory strategies
Ensure effective production planning and level loading to support inventory optimization and operational efficiency
Develop and maintain PFEP (Plan for Every Part), replenishment strategies, and standardized material flow processes
Monitor and drive key logistics KPIs including inventory turns, fill rate, on-time delivery, material variance, and overall supply chain performance
Lead logistics and transportation support activities, including carrier-related concerns and transportation management processes
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations related to forklifts, powered industrial trucks, and material handling equipment
Lead and support material handling and warehouse process improvements
Manage supervisors and team members within material planning, receiving, inventory management, and shipping departments
Conduct hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee development activities
Ensure proper processes are in place to manage non-conforming materials and corrective actions
Ensure logistics and production planning activities are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with customer and supplier requirements
Improve operational procedures and standardize processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
Foster strong communication and collaboration across site leadership, support functions, and sales teams
Perform additional duties as assigned
Profile Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, materials management, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment required
Experience with inventory management, production planning, warehousing, and distribution operations
Lean Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP preferred
Strong understanding of material flow, inventory optimization, and supply chain processes
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead, mentor, and develop employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Must be authorized to work in the United States Work Environment & Physical Requirements Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to forklifts, powered industrial equipment, and warehouse operations
Ability to work in varying temperature conditions within a production facility
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and material handling activities
