Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving end-to-end supply chain performance, ensuring best-in-class customer service, production schedules, optimized inventory, and accurate supply planning. This position is responsible for delivering key business metrics including Case Fill Rate, Schedule Attainment, Days of Supply (DOS), inventory health, and forecast accuracy. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this role partners cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing to align demand, supply, and business priorities. The Supply Chain Manager leads the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and serves as a key contributor to business strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Execution Lead the end-to-end demand and supply planning process to ensure product availability while optimizing working capital Drive forecast accuracy improvements through data-driven insights and collaboration with commercial teams Translate demand signals into actionable supply plans and inventory strategies Monitor and manage key metrics including case fill rate, schedule attainment, inventory levels, DOS, and forecast accuracy S&OP Leadership Champion the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including Executive S&OP meetings Align cross-functional stakeholders on consensus demand and supply plans Identify risks and opportunities and drive mitigation or action plans Inventory & Capacity Management Balance service, cost, and inventory objectives to optimize overall supply chain performance Lead long-term capacity planning and scenario modeling to support business growth Proactively identify and resolve supply constraints and excess inventory risks Continuous Improvement & Systems Drive process improvements to enhance planning effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability Leverage ERP/planning systems) to enable robust forecasting and planning capabilities Implement best practices in supply chain planning, including automation and standardization initiatives Cross-Functional Leadership Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams on product launches, line extensions, and promotions Represent Supply Chain in cross-functional forums and new product development teams Influence decision-making through clear communication of trade-offs and business impacts Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop a team of supply chain planners and production schedulers Establish performance goals, development plans, and succession strategies Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Strategic Initiatives Lead or support key supply chain initiatives such as network optimization, process transformation, and system enhancements Contribute to organizational design improvements and capability building within Supply Chain Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility Support company CSR and B Corp initiatives by embedding sustainability considerations into supply chain decisions and processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, or related disciplines 4+ years of supply chain planning experience (demand, supply, or S&OP) 4+ years of people leadership experience Experience working in ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications APICS (CPIM, CSCP) certification Experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), food, or fast-paced manufacturing environments Six Sigma or Lean process improvement experience Experience partnering closely with Sales and Marketing teams Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights and actions Excellent communication and executive presentation skills Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority Proven ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and drive results Demonstrated success leading teams and developing talent in a matrix environment Change management mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Results-oriented with strong accountability and ownership
