is an established international freight forwarding company seeking an experienced, energetic, and results-driven Operations Supervisor/Manager to join our growing team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily freight forwarding operations, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient import and export processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, freight forwarding experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment. Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily ocean import, ocean export, air freight, and logistics operations. Lead, motivate, and develop operations staff to achieve company goals and maintain high service standards. Monitor shipment movement and ensure timely processing of documentation, customs clearance, and cargo delivery. Oversee Importer Security Filing (ISF) compliance and other regulatory requirements. Maintain strong relationships with customers, overseas agents, carriers, trucking companies, warehouses, and customs brokers. Resolve shipment issues, service failures, and customer concerns promptly and professionally. Develop work schedules, assign responsibilities, and monitor employee performance. Train and mentor team members on company procedures, customer service standards, and industry best practices. Review operational workflows and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability. Ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and shipment recordkeeping. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare operational reports for management. Assist with business development efforts and customer retention initiatives. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of freight forwarding experience required. Previous supervisory or management experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or transportation industries preferred. Strong knowledge of ocean import, ocean export, customs clearance, and international shipping procedures. Experience working with carriers, customs brokers, trucking companies, and overseas agents. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with freight forwarding software systems is preferred. Mandarin Chinese speaking is highly preferred.
