Inventory Manager Danny Thomas Party Rentals Sunnyvale, CA Job Details Full-time $52,235.07 - $65,000.00 a year 16 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Employee discount Qualifications Vendor relationship building Fabrication English Driver's License Full Job Description Danny Thomas Party Rentals has equipped Bay Area events for 25+ years, tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, tents, catering gear, and more. We are looking for an Inventory Manager who knows rental equipment inside and out: someone who can track it, maintain it, and fix it. You are hands-on, mechanically inclined, and genuinely good with wood and tools. What You'll Do Own inventory accuracy counts, levels, check-in/check-out, loss and damage tracking, and prep for upcoming events. Inspect, maintain, and repair rental inventory: tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, carts, and wood/metal pieces. Keep gear event-ready. Do the woodworking and handy repairs in-house — sanding, refinishing, rebuilding, and fabricating replacement parts — instead of scrapping or outsourcing. Organize the warehouse for fast, accurate pulls during peak season and efficient returns and restocking afterward. Own purchasing and reordering — set par/reorder points, place replacement and replenishment orders, and receive and reconcile incoming stock against POs. Manage vendor and supplier relationships — source parts and new inventory, compare pricing, and recommend what to repair, retire, or replace. Partner with delivery, dispatch, and sales so the right inventory is staged, loaded, and accounted for. What You Bring Hands-on experience in event/party rental, equipment rental, hospitality, or a similar inventory-heavy operation. Strong inventory discipline — you keep counts tight and know where everything is. Comfortable owning purchasing — working with suppliers, comparing pricing, and keeping orders on budget.
Real repair skills:
confident with wood (carpentry, refinishing, rebuilds) and handy with tools and basic mechanical fixes. Comfortable with the physical demands — lifting, moving, and standing throughout the day in a warehouse environment. Reliable, organized, and able to keep pace during a busy summer season. Valid California driver's license. Bonus Points Broader handyman skills — basic electrical, plumbing, and general facilities repairs — to handle warehouse improvements and fixes in-house. Bilingual English/Spanish (you'll work alongside a bilingual crew). Forklift certification. Experience with rental/inventory software (POR RentalElite a plus).
