Materials Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for maintaining the appropriate levels of inventory for production plan. The purchasing coordinator will order, receive and store packaging supplies and materials in designated area. Responsible of keeping warehouse clean and organize. Responsible of inventory accuracy of all materials and consumables, responsible for month end and FY end stock counts. Materials coordinator is responsible of scheduling, monitoring and expedite materials. Responsible of receiving and tagging materials with SAP Material Tags and filling out and retaining appropriate QA inspection records. Responsible of all movements in

SAP:

PO creation, GR transactions, Transfers etc. Serves as back up for Maintenance Assistant.

• Receive and issue materials for the operations of packaging, milling, maintenance and minor consumable items.

Utilizing SAP:

Create and fill out purchase orders for supplies and services. GR items and services from PO's.

• Utilizing SAP, add appropriate GL and Cost center to PO's. Include asset and department information on PO information.
• Receive and adequately store packaging supplies.
• Keep all storage area and warehouse organize and clean.
• Fill out appropriate QA forms as needed.
• To ensure the stock accuracy of packaging materials and supplies are managed to achieve>95% accuracy calculated on volume and costs. On high volume key SKU's this should be >99% or above.
• To raise purchase orders on the request of the Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Production Planning Manager, Maintenance/Project Manager and other managers after approvals have been given. Ensuring Purchase orders are raised, approved and released within SunFoods approval limits and guidelines.
• The position is to investigate options (from time to time, depending on time available and resources availability) for better suppliers and once options are developed a full report is to be presented to Management for review - all contracts or agreements over $5,000 per annum are to be approved by the Plant Manager, CFO and/or CEO (or their nominated representatives).
• System Maintenance and housekeeping of system records for accuracy. To include stores inventory items quantities on hand and prices, supplier records and vendor master data applicable are correct with the Bill of Materials (BOM's).
• Ensure all areas of responsibility are kept to the minimal hygiene standards required under the Food Safety standards set by the business.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of the Health & Safety policies, procedures and legislation.
