We're looking for a driven, detail-oriented Parts Manager who wants to play a key role in keeping our operation running at a high level. This is a critical position that directly impacts shop performance, technician efficiency, and customer satisfaction. What You'll Be Responsible For Efficiently sourcing parts for repair orders—balancing warranty, quality, price, and turnaround time Adding all required parts and fluids to repair orders and estimates Communicating constantly with service advisors and technicians on: Availability ETA updates Pricing changes Maintaining a target of 25% or lower total parts purchasing cost (while meeting quality and time standards) Receiving, labeling, and organizing incoming parts Staging and bundling parts by repair order for technicians Managing warranty returns, claims, and core credits Monitoring inventory levels and reordering as needed Building and maintaining strong relationships with parts vendors Additional Responsibilities (As Needed) Assisting service advisors with building tickets Answering phones and helping customers Shuttling customers when needed Cashing out repair orders Keeping the front office clean and organized Sending customer thank-you cards What We're Looking For Self-motivated and highly organized Strong communication skills with both team and vendors Ability to think ahead, anticipate issues, and problem-solve on the fly A team-first mindset—you care about the success of everyone in the shop Ability to follow systems while still being adaptable Passion for efficiency, quality work, and continuous improvement Pay & Benefits $22-$25 per hour with overtime 6 paid holidays per year 48 hours PTO annually 1 week paid vacation Retirement savings account Paid training Employee discounts A team that has your back and wants you to succeed Why Melted Metal Garage A high-performing, no-drama team that takes pride in doing things right and winning together.
