Job Description

We are working with a fast growing ISO 9001 and 13485 certified Manufacturer and global leader in their technical apparel world. Based on growth and upcoming acquisitions, this company is seeking a Director of Supply Chain with the ability to grow into an overall operations leader. Position is based in the South East, will report to the CEO, will manage ~ 5 direct reports. Great benefits include 401K (with company matching), Group Medical/Dental/Vision, company paid life insurance, company paid ST and LT disability insurance, unlimited PTO, and relocation assistance The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership across all supply chain functions, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and warehousing. This role serves as a key strategic partner, driving innovative solutions to address business challenges and support organizational growth. The Director plays a pivotal role in developing and optimizing purchasing processes, including the implementation of a robust Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) system. This position requires both high-level strategic insight and hands-on leadership to ensure operational excellence across the supply chain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop strategy for creating best practice processes and a supply chain infrastructure Lead cross functional teams (S&OP meeting) to ensure alignment of capacity to customer demand Align the Materials Management around the growth strategy while optimizing production improvement including quality, productivity, pricing, capacity, and time to market Drive process improvements, innovation, and product related cost reductions Initiate and execute streamlined material fulfillment processes for materials required for both GMP and non-GMP functional areas Ensure compliance to company procedures and industry regulations Evaluate materials and operational work flow, establish performance metrics, and lead efforts to maximize efficiency, quality, and capacity utilization Report on Key Performance Indicators such as forecast accuracy, inventory levels, inventory reserve, months of supply, and customer delivery performance Oversee activities related to vendor relationships; negotiate with suppliers to minimize material and transportation costs Participate in resolution of non-conformances; resolve recurring problems with permanent solutions Participate as a key member of the Management Team; attend weekly management meetings and provide updates and/or input on issues Ensure Supply Chain function is fully prepared for both internal and external audits Provide support to quality management in the preparation for, conduct of, and follow-up activities associated with site visits from clients and regulatory/accrediting agencies Evaluate materials and operational work flow, establish performance metrics, and lead efforts to maximize efficiency, quality, and capacity utilization Report on Key Performance Indicators such as forecast accuracy, inventory levels, inventory reserve, months of supply, and customer delivery performance Oversee activities related to vendor relationships; negotiate with suppliers to minimize material and transportation costs

Bachelor's degree (BS) in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline APICS or CSCP Certifications preferred 7+ years of experience in supply management/logistics in Apparel and Medical Device experience is a plus Management experience of 5 years or more Must have worked with Contract Manufactures in the past and supported Supply Chain of a manufacturer Exercise independent judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills in order to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner. Anticipate and defuse any potential problems Proficient in FDA and ISO requirements Experience with international logistics for distribution outside of U.S.A. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously to quality, budget, and schedule constraints Proven ability to work in cross functional teams to execute projects Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and lead a successful team Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Flexibility and the ability to manage change Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational, time management and project management skills Demonstrated ability for analytical and systematic thinking Must be competent with the Microsoft Office suite of products Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations All Candidates must be able to provide work related references.
