out of 5 stars 7500 Republic Drive, Groveland, FL 34736 From $60,000 a year - Full-time Hub Steel 12 reviews From $60,000 a year - Full-time Hub Steel is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to oversee the tracking, storage, and distribution of steel products and materials across our facility. The Inventory Manager will play a critical role in ensuring operational continuity, minimizing waste, and maintaining accurate inventory records in a fast-paced industrial environment Key Responsibilities Inventory Control & Management Maintain accurate records of all steel products, raw materials, and consumables using inventory management software Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories; reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent shortages and excess inventory Track inventory movements including receiving, transfers, adjustments, and shipments Receiving & Shipping Coordination Oversee the receiving of incoming steel shipments; verify quantities, grades, and dimensions against purchase orders Coordinate outbound shipments and ensure accurate documentation for all material movements Work closely with logistics and transportation teams to schedule deliveries and pickups Reporting & Compliance Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review Identify and report obsolete, or damaged inventory Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all inventory-related activities Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory documentation Qualifications Required 5 years of inventory management experience, preferably in steel, metals, or industrial manufacturing Proficiency with inventory management systems (ERP/WMS); experience with systems such as Tekla EPM Strong understanding of steel products, grades, sizes, and specifications Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain upon hire Preferred Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or related field Experience with LEAN or Six Sigma inventory methodologies Familiarity with steel industry standards (ASTM, AISI) and material traceability requirements Bilingual (English/Spanish) is an asset Working Conditions This position is based on-site at a Hub Steel facility. The role involves regular exposure to an outside environment including: Heavy machinery, overhead cranes, and material-handling equipment Steel products of varying sizes and weights Varying temperatures based on season and facility conditions including extreme heat Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and high-visibility vest Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
