This role is critical to maintaining operational flow and ensuring materials, scheduling, and production activities are aligned to support customer deliveries and company growth. The ideal candidate is highly organized, operationally driven, experienced in manufacturing environments, and capable of building structure in a fast-paced operation. This is not a corporate desk-only role. The Supply Chain Director will work closely with Production, Warehouse, Quality, R D, and Leadership teams daily to solve operational challenges and improve execution. Experience in cosmetics, OTC, pharmaceutical, food, or GMP manufacturing environments is strongly preferred. ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain & Operations Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations from purchasing through final customer delivery. Ensure uninterrupted material availability for batching and packaging operations. Coordinate daily with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Customer Service teams. Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions quickly. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations. ERP & Inventory Management Ensure ERP data accuracy for purchasing, inventory, production planning, and material transactions. Maintain accurate inventory levels and planning information. Lead inventory control and cycle count initiatives. Improve visibility for shortages, delays, and production risks. Enforce ERP discipline and operational accountability. Purchasing & Vendor Management Lead purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging components, and operational supplies. Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and supplier agreements. Develop alternative sourcing strategies and material flexibility opportunities. Build and maintain supplier relationships focused on reliability and cost savings. Planning & Scheduling Lead short-term and long-term production scheduling activities. Coordinate weekly production planning meetings. Align schedules with material availability, labor capacity, and customer priorities. Develop recovery plans during operational disruptions or delays. Improve schedule adherence and delivery performance. Leadership Lead and develop Purchasing, Planning, and Supply Chain personnel. Create SOPs and standardized operational processes. Establish KPIs and accountability metrics. Promote urgency, ownership, and operational excellence throughout the team. QualificationsRequired 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Planning, or Operations leadership. Manufacturing experience required. Strong ERP system experience. Experience managing purchasing, inventory, and production scheduling. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and leadership capabilities. Preferred Experience in cosmetics, OTC, pharmaceutical, food, or GMP-regulated manufacturing. Experience with process manufacturing ERP systems such as Mar-Kov. Experience in
CDMO/CMO
manufacturing environments. Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
