Job Description
Ice House America, LLC (IHA) is on the lookout for a Purchasing / Inventory Lead. At IHA, we foster a fun, family-like atmosphere where customers, collaboration, innovation and teamwork are at the forefront of our success. As a key member of our team, the Purchasing / Inventory Lead is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper stock levels, and supporting purchasing. This role involves tracking inventory movements, conducting cycle counts, purchasing parts needed for company operations, and maintaining company parts website.
Main Responsibilities:
Purchasing Support:
- Support Sourcing and Purchasing Manager in buying activities.
- Outreach to new potential suppliers.
- Provide recommendations on stock level changes needed based on buying insights.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring data integrity in inventory management system. Manage routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile stock discrepancies. Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Ensure RMAs are completed in a timely manner.Data Entry & Reporting:
Accurately input and update inventory data in the system. Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential improvements.Process Improvement & Coordination:
Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. Implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures. Oversee and manage company parts website.Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, or a related field.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing a website a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
