Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Material Manager to oversee the planning, procurement, inventory control, and movement of materials throughout our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring material availability to support production schedules while optimizing inventory levels, reducing costs, and improving overall supply chain performance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a proven ability to collaborate across multiple departments to achieve operational objectives Key Responsibiliti esLead and manage material planning, inventory control, receiving, warehousing, and material movement activitie s.

Develop and maintain inventory strategies that support production requirements while minimizing excess inventor y.

Coordinate with purchasing, production, operations, and suppliers to ensure timely material availabilit y.

Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory audit s.

Analyze material requirements and production forecasts to ensure adequate supply level s.

Identify opportunities to improve inventory turns, material flow, and supply chain efficienc y.

Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, service levels, and material availabilit y.

Manage and develop material management personnel, providing leadership, coaching, and performance feedbac k.

Support ERP/MRP system utilization and continuous improvement initiative s.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirement s. Qualificati onsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferr ed.5+ years of experience in material management, inventory control, supply chain, or production planning within a manufacturing environme nt.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferr ed.

Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, MRP/ERP systems, and supply chain process es.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skil ls.

Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abiliti es.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Exc el.
APICS/ASCM
certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a pl us.
