Essential Functions for the
Position:
Under the direction of the Materials Manager, monitor and regulate stocked inventory and assist in supervising staff. Assist in overseeing subordinates engaged in materials management duties. Monitor and replenish inventory stocked at four (4) warehouses (2 at Kalihi-Palama, 1 at Pearl City, and 1 at Handi-Van). Oversee communication process with storeroom, vendors, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure parts availability and quality assurance. Review usage reports and analyze data to ensure inventory replenishment is done timely and within budget. Monitor inventory stock levels. Generate reports for cycle count and inventory analysis. Assist in the supervision and completion of the annual physical inventory. Review orders as needed to identify sourcing and communicate with buyers and storeroom.
Special Knowledge & Skills:
Computer competency in Microsoft Office. Technical expertise to identify parts visually, by catalog and/or computer-based parts catalog. Familiar with inventory replenishment analysis and evaluation process. Aptitude to interpret and administer company rules and regulations governed by the Personnel Policy Manual (PPM) and the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Analysis, including pattern and trend recognition in operational and inventory data.
Education, Training & Experience:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor's degree, business school or equivalent training/experience in inventory warehouse management desired. Five (5) years warehouse experience required. Two (2) years management work experience desired.
Other Job Requirements & Conditions:
Communicate effectively and tactfully. Work effectively with all levels within the company and vendors. Pass company sponsored drug test. Work extended hours, weekends and holidays as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
