Required:
High School Diploma, HiSET or GED
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.
Must possess and maintain a driving record in compliance with district motor vehicle requirements for the duration of employment.
Minimum of five years of experience in a warehouse distribution, order fulfillment or production management or similar work experience.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Ability to demonstrate teamwork and collaboration with all levels of staff and administration.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement with strong project management and decision-making skills.
Detail orientated and ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Competency working in a multicultural environment or the willingness to acquire these skills
BASIC FUNCTION
Plan, organize and direct the logistics department's warehouses. Responsibilities include supervising and training staff; monitoring warehouse areas; ordering, receiving, and recording supplies; and maintaining records and preparing reports. This position requires continuous use of independent judgment. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in opening, securing, and closing the warehouses at the Central Nutrition Center and/or the Prospect building.
Provide direction, training and day-to-day instructions to department personnel assigned to the warehouse.
Assisting with periodic inventories and maintaining adequate inventory and stock records.
Assisting with the maintenance of a clean, neat, and orderly warehouse.
Apply necessary safeguards to prevent loss of school property through theft, pilferage, or fire.
Carry out policies and procedures set forth by the district and the logistics department.
Complete daily, all procedures as outlined in the accounting and purchasing manuals.
Prepare detailed job duties for unit personnel.
Perform all warehouse tasks as needed to expedite production and train staff on the same, including assisting with equipment and vehicle care, maintenance checklists, operation, licensing, sanitation, and safety.
Maintain accurate information in the computer systems, records, and reports (payroll, production records, etc.) and operates within fiscal guidelines, inventories of food, supplies, and equipment.
Maintain two-way communication with central administration office and school building offices.
Receive and check all deliveries and report irregularities to supervisor.
Participate in manager's team meetings and other meetings as needed.
Encourage staff towards professional growth and development.
Evaluate performance of warehouse staff as needed and complete annual written evaluations of employees.
Comply comprehensive agreements and district handbook.
Respond to guests, auditors, DE staff, Department of Inspections and Appeals, etc. and be available to assist when needed.
Participate in the interview and hiring process.
