Job Description
Jim Hawk Truck Trailers, Inc., one of the largest semi-truck trailer dealers in the Midwest, has been in business for over 50 years. We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated, Assistant Parts Manager to join our Sioux City, Iowa team. This position works closely with the Parts Manager and has accountability for the efficient operation and profitability of the Parts Department. This includes having a productive and well-trained Parts Counter team that provides high quality, accurate and timely service to ensure customer satisfaction, as well as well-maintained and profitable Parts operations. This position ensures that the team is accurately quoting and selling parts and ensuring all parts are billed correctly. In addition, this position is responsible for monitoring monthly Parts Department performance by monitoring sales, costs, revenue, profitability, and efficiency and then develop and implement the appropriate action plans for improvement. This position also helps support the Service Department when needed. Required Education and Experience 1. Must have at least 2+ years of experience in an Industry Parts Manager/Supervisor role. 2. High school/GED graduate Preferred Education and Experience 1. Bachelor's degree. 2. Five years of related experience Additional Qualifications/Skills (Preferred) Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including weekends Must be able to develop a team that is well oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work The willingness to be heavily involved in the staffing, training, and development of a winning team Proficient in proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word and Outlook Experience with parts inventory computer systems and managing of inventory Strong organizational skills, both analytical and problem solving Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
