JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a hands-on Shipping & Logistics Manager to lead inbound / outbound logistics across four manufacturing plants. This role is responsible for ensuring trailers are shipped on time, accurately, and cost-effectively while supporting production flow and store delivery expectations. This position will be on-site in Nampa, Idaho.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Lead all shipping operations across four plants, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries Supervise and develop one direct report responsible for scheduling and coordination Coordinate daily with production, sales, and customer service to align shipment timing Work with our 3rd Party company to plan loads, routes, and carrier usage to maximize efficiency and reduce freight costs Manage carrier relationships and negotiate rates and service levels Track and improve key metrics (on-time delivery, freight cost, damage rates) Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and trailer load securement standards Oversee shipping documentation (BOLs, invoices, etc.) Resolve shipping issues quickly and maintain high service levels Standardize processes across all plants to drive consistency and scalability Performs other duties as assigned. This job may require periodic travel to other manufacturing plants or store locations as needed.QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in the essential duties and responsibilities section are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
5+ years of shipping, logistics, or transportation experience in a manufacturing environment Experience managing broker relationships and operations across multiple locations preferred Prior leadership experience (direct reports required) Knowledge of flatbed, trailer, or heavy equipment shipping is a plus Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and operate in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Excel and ERP/logistics systems (NetSuite)LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Also important is the ability to write occasional reports and correspondence and to speak effectively with customers or employees.COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in Excel, ERP/Logistics Systems, and Google Suite.REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to communicate and assist in the resolution of practical problems dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The position also requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
