- Full-time Supply Chain Manager (MRP-Driven Manufacturing Environment) Overview We are seeking a highly engaged, detail-obsessed Supply Chain Manager who takes full ownership of every line item on an MRP report.
This role requires someone who naturally dives deep into the details, understanding part numbers, how components are manufactured, how materials are cut and processed, and how substitutions impact production. This is not a transactional purchasing position. Candidates who prefer high-level oversight without hands-on involvement in daily material requirements will not be successful here. The right person is intellectually curious, highly organized, and proactive—someone who can retain and apply detailed product knowledge, anticipate issues before they arise, and confidently make decisions that keep production running. You should be comfortable managing complexity, negotiating with vendors, and being fully accountable for ensuring the right materials arrive at the right time—every time. Position Summary Purchase raw materials and supplies while managing the full procurement lifecycle from order placement through receipt—ensuring production requirements are consistently met on time. Essential Functions Plan and manage sourcing and procurement activities in a dynamic manufacturing environment Own and actively manage the MRP report, ensuring accuracy and execution at the line-item level Process purchase orders in ERP system using MRP and real-time production data Coordinate with suppliers, third-party providers, and internal teams to ensure material flow Manage inbound logistics to support production schedules Participate in production meetings to understand and respond to weekly demand changes Source new suppliers and components to support cost reduction initiatives Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery commitments with suppliers Expedite urgent material needs and resolve supply disruptions quickly Maintain accurate material costs and support standard cost updates Build strong working relationships with Production to ensure high service levels Support cross-functional teams including Sales, Quality, and Accounting Handle moderate to heavy daily phone and email communication Ensure compliance with
