Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control and Fleet Manager to join our team in Monroe, North Carolina in a contract capacity with the potential for a permanent role. This position plays a key role in establishing organized inventory practices, supporting field operations, and keeping vehicles prepared for daily work. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, a detail-focused approach, and the ability to coordinate effectively with technicians, vendors, and operations leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and organize a complete inventory structure for electrical materials, using available drafts and templates to create consistent standards across the operation.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to maintain reliable stock levels so technicians have timely access to the materials required for scheduled work.
- Conduct recurring inventory counts, reconcile physical stock against system records, and submit accurate weekly reporting to leadership.
- Support the rollout and ongoing use of ServiceTitan by entering inventory data, maintaining system accuracy, and helping align reporting with operational needs.
- Set clear inventory procedures for technicians and staff, provide guidance on expectations, and reinforce accountability for compliance with company standards.
- Oversee the company fleet across departments by tracking vehicle readiness, usage, and overall condition for day-to-day field operations.
- Coordinate inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and keep trucks safe, compliant, and dependable.
- Monitor vehicle cleanliness and job readiness to ensure each unit is properly equipped and prepared for service demands.
- Maintain reporting dashboards and operational records that help leadership measure inventory accuracy, fleet status, and process performance.
