Job Description:
Key ResponsibilitiesRegional LeadershipProvide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all assigned hubs within Region 2.Directly supervise and support Hub Managers in achieving operational, financial, and service objectives.
Establish performance expectations and maintain accountability across all regional operations.
Conduct site visits, operational reviews, and performance assessments as directed by executive leadership.
Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Operational ManagementOversee transportation operations involving local and over-the-road freight movements throughout the region.
Ensure efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, and facility resources.
Monitor operational performance metrics, including service levels, safety performance, equipment utilization, customer satisfaction, and operational productivity.
Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, service quality, and overall operational performance.
Partner with Hub Managers to identify challenges and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and mentor Hub Managers, drivers, and support staff throughout the region.
Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing leadership development for management personnel.
Promote employee engagement, accountability, and retention through effective leadership and communication.
Assist in succession planning and the development of future leaders within the organization.
Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with all applicable DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures.
Maintain a strong safety culture throughout all assigned hubs.
Review safety incidents, compliance concerns, and operational risks while implementing corrective actions.
Conduct audits and operational reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards.
Ensure driver qualification, training, and operational compliance requirements are consistently maintained.
Financial ManagementMonitor regional operating expenses and support budget management initiatives.
Analyze operational and financial performance data to identify opportunities for cost control and process improvement.
Support strategies that improve profitability while maintaining operational excellence.
Prepare and present operational reports and performance updates to executive leadership.
Customer RelationsEnsure customers receive consistent, reliable, and professional service across all assigned hubs.
Collaborate with customers and internal departments to resolve operational issues and improve service performance.
Support regional growth initiatives and expansion opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners.
QualificationsRequiredMinimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in transportation, logistics, trucking, or freight operations.
Minimum of 3 years of multi-site management experience overseeing multiple facilities, terminals, or operational locations.
Proven experience leading managers and large operational teams.
Strong knowledge of over-the-road and local transportation operations.
Comprehensive understanding of DOT, FMCSA, Hours of Service, and transportation compliance regulations.
Demonstrated ability to manage performance, develop teams, and drive operational results.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability and willingness to travel frequently between assigned hubs and company locations as directed by executive leadership.
Proficiency with transportation management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
PreferredBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience managing multi-state transportation operations.
Previous responsibility for operational budgeting and financial performance.
Experience leading organizational growth, process improvements, and operational expansion initiatives.
