Job Description

Upper Blackstone is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support the efficient operation of the purchasing and inventory of our facility. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies essential to maintaining reliable water treatment services for our community. The Materials Management Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the planning, purchasing inventory control, and flow of materials required to support a municipal wastewater treatment facility. This role focuses on materials availability, process coordination, compliance, and seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness. An individual in this role should have excellent communication skills, be an analytical thinker, and demonstrate a good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or public administration preferred Three (3) to five (5) years of materials management, inventory coordination, or warehouse operations experience in a utility, industrial, or municipal environment Ability to obtain
MA MCPPO
certification within first year of employment Working knowledge of computer maintenance management systems (CMMS) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and related applications Working knowledge of inventory systems and procurement processes Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, hazardous materials handling, and SDS requirements Valid driver's license Upper Blackstone offers a competitive benefits package including generous PTO, medical, dental, vision, and 403(b) retirement plan.
