Job Description

Summary The Warehouse General Manager:
is responsible for the operation and financial performance by providing strategic direction and leadership for all warehouse activities associated with shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory management. You will set objectives, goals, strategies and measures, will plan for continuous improvement and create new and innovative strategies necessary to consistently meet our customer's expectations. Other responsibilities include leading the development of a high-performance work environment and budget activities. Chinese speaking and writing required Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage and coordinate storage and distribution activities of the company to ensure maximum utilization of facilities. Administer operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. Assure products, parts, or supplies are shipped, distributed, or received in an efficient manner. Evaluates physical condition of warehouse and equipment and prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment. Work with Director in ensuring coordination of warehouse activities such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing departments. Take precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss. Evaluate inventory on hand. Prepares or reviews distribution documents. Manage salvage of damaged or used material. Screen, hire, train staff, evaluates employee performance, and recommends or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action for warehouse personnel. Meet compliances for Government agencies including DOT Keep up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions. Oversee transportation policies, standards and steps taken Perform other related duties as required and assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of Wholesales Food Industry Warehouse management experience Forklift experience required Proficient Communication skills both written and verbal Proven leadership skills and project management skills Must have excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills High proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Chinese speaking required
