Job Description
Are you inspired by solving complex supply chain challenges and have a passion for driving operational excellence through process improvements and automation? We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Planner to optimize inventory management, lead strategic initiatives, and partner across the organization to enhance customer satisfaction. The role focuses on inventory optimization and accuracy, managing third-party logistics provider relationships, and driving continuous improvements in operational performance. Responsibilities Manage and control performance, cost, and capacity of External Fulfillment Logistics provider (3PL). Negotiate SLAs and drive continuous operational performance improvements with 3PL providers. Ensure inventory accuracy across assigned programs by implementing inventory controls and replenishment processes. Develop and execute effective cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy. Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Analyze inventory data, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend solutions to improve inventory turns, reduce waste, and enhance the customer experience. Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to align on inventory goals and drive initiatives to achieve them. Design and deploy streamlined inventory management workflows, leveraging system automation where possible. Create and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures for inventory-related activities. Support the implementation of inventory management system upgrades and enhancements. Contribute to cross-functional projects related to engineering changes, master data management, and supply chain improvements. Provide analytical reports and actionable insights to leadership. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or project management. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Technical Engineering, or a related field. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities. Experience in vendor management and 3PL operations. Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma. Experience with
SQL. APICS
Certification CPIM or CSCP. Lean manufacturing and experience in material management in a manufacturing environment. Work Environment The position is fully onsite in Westborough, MA, within the Robotics Manufacturing & Technical Operations team. The team focuses on manufacturing planning for Robotics Manufacturing, with a diverse group of engineers from around the world. Expect a dynamic environment with interaction across various teams, focusing on inventory. A 6-8 week ramp-up period is anticipated, with the potential for extension and conversion. Experience with Oracle, production, and/or 3PL is beneficial for quick integration. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Westborough, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $47.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
