Position Overview We are seeking a Testing and Logistics Supervisor to lead our product testing and international logistics operations. This role is responsible for ensuring all products meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards while overseeing the end-to-end import process from purchase order through warehouse receipt. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in global logistics, compliance, vendor management, and product testing, while driving efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement across operations. Key Responsibilities Product Testing & Compliance Oversee all product testing requirements, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards Coordinate testing submissions, documentation, and approvals with external labs Partner with buyers and labs to resolve testing failures and address evolving regulatory requirements Maintain accurate testing records and support ongoing compliance initiatives International Logistics and Import Operations Manage international logistics from PO inception through warehouse receipt, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery Track open purchase orders, ETDs, and shipment timelines to ensure on-time and accurate delivery Coordinate container consolidations and optimize inbound freight costs Ensure ISF filings, customs documentation, and import compliance requirements are met Proactively identify and resolve shipment delays or disruptions Vendor and Supplier Management Maintain strong relationships with vendors, brokers, and logistics partners Facilitate vendor invoices, credits, and ensure accuracy for Finance processing Inventory and Data Management Track sailing and arrival dates and manage import dashboards for visibility Support inventory planning to meet margin and in-stock objectives Operations and Cross-Functional Coordination Serve as liaison across vendors, warehouse, finance, merchandising, and sales teams Communicate inbound shipment forecasts and support receiving operations Coordinate drop shipments and customer-specific logistics needs Process Improvement and Strategy Identify and implement process improvements across testing and logistics functions Stay informed on global trade regulations, tariffs, and industry trends Support vendor compliance standards and explore cost-saving initiatives Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in international logistics, import operations, or supply chain management Experience with product testing, compliance, and regulatory standards (CPSC, customs, etc.) Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Proficiency in ERP systems and reporting tools (SAGE, Salesforce, or similar preferred) Excellent organizational and project management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Key Competencies Attention to detail and compliance focus Strong communication and collaboration skills Proactive problem-solving and decision-making Ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency Business acumen with a focus on cost control and margin optimization Benefits Medical insurance Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid sick leave provided in accordance with Maryland requirements Seven-paid company holidays 401(k) retirement planSimilar jobs in Cockeysville, MD
