We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Dealership Parts Manager to oversee the procurement, inventory, and distribution of automotive parts within our dealership. The ideal candidate will possess strong supply chain management skills, automotive knowledge, and leadership abilities to ensure seamless operations. This role involves managing supplier relationships, optimizing inventory levels, and coordinating with various departments to meet customer demands efficiently. The Dealership Parts Manager plays a critical role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through effective parts management and operational excellence. Responsibilities Manage the entire parts inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking parts using order management systems and ERP platforms. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of OEM and aftermarket parts. Oversee warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, storage, and inventory control to optimize space utilization and reduce waste. Coordinate demand planning and pricing strategies to meet sales targets while controlling costs. Utilize automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and equipment repair expertise to assist with technical issues related to parts compatibility and application. Supervise staff involved in procurement management, logistics, sourcing, and inventory management activities. Implement and maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking parts usage and equipment maintenance schedules. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to warehouse experience, forklift operation, HVAC systems, and equipment repair. Monitor industry trends such as automotive service developments, auto body repair techniques, and advancements in OEM parts sourcing. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms while maintaining quality standards. Support customer service initiatives by providing technical advice on automotive repairs and parts availability. Requirements Proven experience in dealership parts management or automotive supply chain roles with dealership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, ERP platforms (such as AS400), order management systems, and data entry accuracy. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, auto body repair processes, HVAC systems, and equipment repair is highly desirable. Experience with warehouse management, shipping & receiving procedures, procurement management, sourcing strategies, demand planning, and logistics coordination. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus. Excellent negotiation skills combined with a solid understanding of pricing strategies within the automotive industry. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and procurement processes. Effective communication skills for managing supplier relationships and collaborating across departments. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies such as ERP systems like AS400 or other order management solutions. Prior experience working with OEM parts sourcing or auto repair shops is advantageous.
