Job Description

Director of Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing. Bulletproof Results. The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of supply chain operations from procurement through delivery. This role ensures that supply chain deliverables meet quality, cost, and schedule targets while aligning with business objectives and customer requirements. The Director of Supply Chain acts as the primary technical and operational liaison between cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, manufacturing, and project management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the supply chain team on multiple projects, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and budgets. Owns supply chain utilization and reporting in the Epicor Kinetic ERP system. Lead and develop the supply chain and procurement team. Collaborate with product managers, manufacturing, quality, and other stakeholders to define requirements and ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. Oversee the creation of detailed supply chain documentation, including vendor agreements, risk assessments, and BOMs. Develop and maintain supply chain and procurement standards. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team. Oversee a robust logistics management process and delivery timelines to keep operations on schedule and on budget. Oversee's inventory management system and accuracy for all TSS locations Owns and delegates vendor management, relationships and scorecards. Owns and delegates the freight strategy and costs for shipping finished goods. Plan, coordinate, analyze, and understand the scope of work for a variety of complex global projects. Review requests for proposals, obtain quotes, and estimate all aspects of supply chain and logistics costs. Recommend and ensure best practices in sourcing, inventory, and distribution. Facilitate communication and coordinate activities with cross-functioning departments.
Competencies:
Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity requiring excellent project management skills. Communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization, using verbal and written distribution channels. Optimizes organizational effectiveness and prioritizes workload, even with multiple interruptions. Adjusts promptly and calmly to change, works well as part of a team, and remains calm under pressure. Maintains a collaborative work ethic and commitment to excellence in dealing with internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Engineering and 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
CSCP, CPIM, PMP
certification, or equivalent training a plus. Ability to direct and coordinate the efforts of several employees. Strong leadership abilities - delegating work and scheduling / prioritizing. Excellent interpersonal, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Expert with ERP/MRP software and supply chain analytics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and able to focus on multiple tasks at one time. Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new systems.
Special Position Requirements:
Ability to travel up to 25% to vendors, customers, and other TSS locations.
Physical Requirements:
Communicate with others and exchange accurate information. Operate a computer and other office machinery or equipment. Ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets or office machinery.
Work Environment:
This job takes place in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Office employees are required to wear safety glasses, safety shoes, and a highly visible vest at all times in production areas and shipping docks.
