Job Description

Position Summary:
The Director, Materials Planning & Logistics (MP&L) - Industrial Power Business is a senior leadership role within Methode Electronics' global Supply Chain organization. Reporting to the Vice President, Materials Planning & Logistics, this role is responsible for leading the end-to-end planning, inventory, and logistics strategy for Methode's rapidly expanding Global Industrial Power business.

This leader will drive operational excellence across MRP planning, supplier delivery performance, inventory optimization, production planning, and logistics execution, ensuring alignment with business growth, customer delivery commitments, and financial objectives; and will collaborate with customers, suppliers, and teams from Business development, Program Management, Operations and Customer Service to profitably execute the sales growth in this key business sector.

As part of the Global MP&L leadership team, the Director will partner with other MP&L leaders and play a key role in advancing Methode's global supply chain transformation, including the deployment of standardized planning processes, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and integrated digital supply chain systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the MP&L strategy and execution for Methode's Industrial Power business, aligning supply chain capabilities with growth and profitability goals.

Manage differing supply-chain dynamics across channels: both high-volume/low-mix make to order, and replenishment cycles based on make to stock service strategiesProvide leadership across planning, supplier delivery performance, inventory management, logistics, and customer delivery execution.

Leverage data to track KPIs, monitor performance, identify trends and provide insights to senior leadership, driving relentlessly for performance and customer satisfaction.

Drive improvements in OTIF delivery, inventory turns, working capital efficiency, and logistics cost performance.

Lead the deployment and maturation of
S&OP / S&OE
processes and standardized planning disciplines for the Industrial Power business unit.

Support the rollout of Methode's Integrated Supply Chain Operating System and other supply chain transformation initiatives.

Partner closely with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Sales, Program Management, HR, and IT to align operational plans and resolve supply chain challenges.

Collaborate with Sales and Project Managers to ensure supply continuity for strategic projects, transfers and customer initiatives.

Lead and develop a high-performing MP&L team across multiple sites, building strong leadership capability and accountability.

Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to team members to improve skills, knowledge and customer interactions.

Ensure accuracy of customer master data, pricing, billing and administration of credits and debits.

Manage and resolve supplier, operational, and customer delivery escalations.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and supply chain governance standards.

Lead MP&L reporting, performance management, and budget planning for the Industrial Power business unit.

Qualifications:
RequiredFluent English LanguageBachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or equivalent discipline12+ years of experience in supply chain or materials management7+ years of leadership experience in planning, logistics, or supply chain operationsExperience within Automotive, Industrial, Electronics, or Manufacturing industriesStrong knowledge of S&OP, inventory management, forecasting, and production planningExperience of driving Continuous Process Improvements to deliver business changeAvailability for domestic and international travel, as required at a minimum of 25%PreferredMBA or MSc in Supply Chain or related field
APICS / ASCM
certification (CPIM, CSCP)Six Sigma or Lean certification3-5years experience planning, leading, and executing global supply chain initiativesSpanish, or Mandarin Language would be an advantage
