$25-29 Shipping Manager 8:30-5PM M-F Masterson Staffing Solutions - 3.2 Minneapolis, MN Job Details Temporary | Full-time $25 - $29 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Operations management Forklift High school diploma or GED Materials handling Process management Full Job Description Shipping ManagerPosition Summary The Shipping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Shipping and Receiving Department to ensure the accurate, efficient, and timely movement of materials and finished goods. This role provides leadership to shipping personnel while remaining actively involved in hands-on warehouse activities, including loading and unloading trucks. The Shipping Manager collaborates closely with multiple departments to support operational goals, improve processes, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer service. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage day-to-day shipping and receiving operations. Direct, train, and support shipping personnel to ensure productivity, accuracy, and compliance with company policies. Participate in hands-on warehouse activities, including loading and unloading trucks, material handling, and shipment preparation. Manage shipping documentation, records, and system entries to ensure accuracy and compliance. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to meet customer and production requirements. Run and review end-of-day shipping reports, ensuring data accuracy and operational visibility. Monitor inventory movement and collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve discrepancies. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. Troubleshoot shipping, receiving, inventory, and transportation issues and develop effective solutions. Advise management regarding departmental staffing, equipment, operational needs, and improvement opportunities. Work collaboratively with Production, Inventory Control, Customer Service, Purchasing, and other departments to fulfill shipping requirements and maintain workflow efficiency. Ensure compliance with company safety standards, OSHA regulations, and quality requirements. Monitor department performance metrics and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Assist with scheduling, workload planning, and resource allocation to meet business demands. Qualifications Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics management. Proven leadership experience supervising warehouse or shipping personnel. Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, inventory control, and transportation processes. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency with shipping software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional logistics or supply chain education preferred.
