Selected candidate must have a minimum of 10 years supervision in shipping in a manufacturing environment. This position has 2 direct reports and will supervise all aspects of shipping and finished goods warehousing. Must have strong negotiation skills :
Duties include: Review daily shipping schedule and delegate work assignments to build timely shipments as needed Negotiate freight rates Work with Customer Service and manufacturing to coordinate movement of priority items Oversee all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments including adherence to procedures and work instructions and accurate documents Resolve freight disputes with carriers, customers, and suppliers Oversee organization and maintenance of all warehouse and storage areas Inspect load operations to ensure compliance and safety requirements Determine shipments in or out for outside processing requirements Development of team members Work with HR on employment related matters
