Logistics Operations Supervisor

Job description Capital Express is seeking a dynamic Operations Supervisor Benefits to include medical, dental, and vision available after 30 days of employment Scheduled hours are approximately 6:00 am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, possible Saturday hours could vary based on business needs The Supervisor manages daily operational activities, including transportation, warehousing, and dispatching.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Participates in the recruiting, hiring, and training of staff Organizes and oversees the staff work and schedules. Conducts performance evaluationsin timely and constructive. Handles discipline and terminations as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategically supervises the entire operational flow (inbound, outbound, routing, scheduling) Coordinates between the warehouse, drivers/couriers, dispatch, and customer service. Ensures KPIs are met for service levels, metrics, costs, and efficiency. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements Resolve any arising problems or complaints effectively and efficiently. Comply with laws, regulations, and safety regulations

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager Record of successful distribution and logistics management Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff Proficient in standard logistics software and Microsoft Office software Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 75 pounds repetitively. Prolonged periods (8 hours daily) of standing, bending, reaching, and twisting. The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 75 pounds repeatedly. Ability to work in extreme heat or cold temperatures.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred 3-5 years of logistics experience Valid driver's license and clean driving record The candidate must be at least 21 years of age Required to pass a drug screen and background check

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
