Job Description

MISSION OF THE POSITION
An Inventory Shipping Manager is responsible for ensuring the Company can efficiently source raw materials, manufacture products, store inventory and transport shipments to consumers or wholesalers. Their duties include analyzing logistics data to refine the supply chain, negotiating business relationships, and communicating with suppliers and distributors. The Inventory Shipping Manager will oversee and coordinate the storage and distribution of materials or products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain. Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain. Schedules pickup, delivery, and distribution of products and materials. Forecasts peak delivery periods and issues appropriate work assignments. Collaborates with Plant Manager to coordinate production, sales, record controls, and purchasing. Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory. Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company. Performs other related duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to traverse the distribution and storage facility. Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds at a time. Ability to wear required safety gear
Manufacturing Working Environment:
May include working indoors and outdoors May be exposed to excessive climates, including heat, cold or extreme weather conditions Weather may include humidity, dampness, or chilling Prominent level of noise, continuous Uneven walking surfaces Working around machinery with moving parts Working around moving objects, forklifts, or vehicles working around moving machinery/heavy equipment Exposure to dust, silica, fumes, odors, and/or gases
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
Analytical skills and problem-solving Technical Proficiency Good time management Excellent communication skills Knowledge in inventory controls and inventory management Organizational skills Must be able to work in a team as well as independently.
COMPETENCIES EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of Shipping and Receiving
TALENTS & COMPETENCIES
