Our expertise encompasses a wide range of military and commercial applications, including night vision, laser warning and identification, ranging, and associated capabilities. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation in these critical fields to meet the diverse needs of our clients. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to support our manufacturing operations by managing full-cycle inventory control and coordinating all inbound and outbound logistics. This role goes beyond traditional shipping and receiving, encompassing ownership of inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, material flow, and distribution to partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving:
Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect goods for damage or defects. Accurately record receipt of materials in the inventory management system.
Outbound Logistics:
Coordinate and execute outbound shipments to distributors. Prepare shipping documentation, ensure compliance with carrier requirements, and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Inventory Management:
Own inventory accuracy across raw materials, components, and finished goods. Maintain real-time inventory records within the ERP system, perform cycle counts and periodic physical inventories, and investigate and resolve discrepancies. Monitor stock levels and support replenishment planning.
Quality Control:
Work closely with the quality assurance team to inspect incoming materials and ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Promptly report any issues or discrepancies to management.
Material Handling and Production Support :
Pick, stage, and issue materials to production teams as needed. Manage internal movement of parts and materials to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Warehouse Operations:
Assist with various warehouse tasks, including picking and packing orders, staging shipments, and loading/unloading trucks as needed. Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate incoming shipments, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of materials. Provide regular updates on inventory status and receiving activities to warehouse management.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline receiving processes, improve efficiency, and reduce errors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standard operating procedures.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software; experience with ERP systems is desirable.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing warehouse environment, preferably in a receiving or inventory control role.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
