Warehouse Director

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Logistics Director to lead our supply chain operations and optimize our end-to-end logistics processes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and procurement activities. Your leadership will ensure seamless coordination across all logistics functions, driving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing service levels to meet business objectives. Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain management strategies that align with organizational goals, emphasizing process improvement and operational efficiency. Oversee inventory management and warehouse distribution activities to ensure optimal stock levels, accurate inventory control, and timely order fulfillment. Manage transportation planning and transportation management systems (TMS) to coordinate freight, shipping & receiving, dispatching, and fleet management for maximum efficiency. Lead procurement and sourcing initiatives, including category management and pricing negotiations, to secure cost-effective materials and services. Implement warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to streamline warehouse operations such as picking & packing, materials handling, and order picking. Drive demand planning efforts using supply chain analytics to forecast needs accurately and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and freight carriers to optimize shipping routes and reduce transit times. Utilize data analysis skills to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous process improvements across the supply chain. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to warehouse experience, forklift operation and materials handling Proven experience in supply chain management with a strong background in logistics operations including transportation management, warehouse distribution, procurement, and inventory control. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in supply chain analytics tools and data analysis techniques. Familiarity with demand planning processes, category management, pricing strategies, and sourcing methodologies. Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate with vendors and collaborate across departments effectively.
