Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Executive to join our team and drive excellence in our supply chain operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee end-to-end logistics processes, ensuring seamless coordination across procurement, inventory management, warehouse distribution, transportation, and order fulfillment. Your proactive approach will optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your strategic insights and operational expertise will make a tangible impact on our business success. Responsibilities Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics management Strong knowledge of import and export procedures. Preferably experienced in the food industry Ability to track customs operations effectively Skilled in communicating with manufacturers and suppliers Experienced in reading and managing foreign trade documents Capable of obtaining and evaluating alternative shipping quotes Able to manage import processes, including insurance Knowledgeable about FDA and U.S. food import regulations Willing to be part of a social, dynamic, and young team Manage comprehensive supply chain activities including procurement, sourcing, and category management to ensure timely availability of materials and products. Oversee inventory control and warehouse management systems to maintain optimal stock levels and accurate record-keeping. Coordinate warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, picking & packing, and materials handling to streamline operations. Plan and execute transportation management strategies utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) and fleet management tools to optimize delivery schedules and freight costs. Implement process improvements by analyzing supply chain data and logistics analytics to identify efficiencies and reduce waste. Supervise freight forwarding, 3PL (third-party logistics) providers, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and dispatching activities for smooth order fulfillment. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to warehouse experience, forklift operation, packaging, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and other operational protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management with a strong understanding of logistics operations including transportation planning, warehouse distribution, and inventory management. Proficiency with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms for order processing and data analysis skills. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and supply chain analytics tools. Hands-on experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, and demand planning. Ability to utilize data analysis for process improvement initiatives and operational decision-making. Valid forklift certification preferred; experience with materials handling equipment is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
