Full Job Description Position Summary:
A logistics supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the movement of goods within NMOHC, including planning, scheduling, managing inventory, supervising shipping & receiving clerk, and ensuring timely deliveries by monitoring shipping and receiving operations, while optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness throughout the supply chain; logistics supervisor works closely with carriers, suppliers, and customers to maintain smooth logistics operations and resolve any issues that may arise. Issuing purchase orders for materials, matching purchase orders with invoices and verifying delivery schedules and will serve as back up to shipping and receiving. This position will communicate frequently with departments to monitor their supply needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s): Supervise and coordinate daily logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Creates, maintains and revises purchasing policies and ensures all purchases are in accordance with the approved policies. Ensures the department is staffed at all times. Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods. Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. Resolve any issues or delays in the supply chain promptly and effectively. Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of shipping & receiving clerk. Prepare and present reports on logistics performance and key metrics. Check shipments to ensure the quality and quantity of purchased items. Communicating with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and addressing any concerns. Maintaining proper documentation and compliance with relevant shipping and import/export laws. Review inventories and order as required. Perform monthly physical inventories. Conduct market research and compare costs and benefits when evaluating new vendors. Schedule to have minor malfunctions in office equipment and infusion equipment fix. Maintains the medical equipment inventory for all departments. Oversee the scheduled maintenance activities on the required medical equipment. Interact with the suppliers on a day-to-day basis. Places non-medical drug orders for all departments. Track the status of any orders. Ensure that all shipping paperwork is sent to Accounts Payable timely. Ensure that any invoices are sent to Accounts Payable. Preparing all capital forms for approval and send to Finance. Produce and maintain all purchasing reports. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested. Manages the purchasing and distribution of oxygen for the clinic. Manages the MSDS system Assists relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts. Ongoing logistics projects and administrative tasks as needed. Other duties may be assigned.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma Associate degree preferred Four years of related work experience or a combination of completed education and/or related work experience equal to six years preferred Procurement experience preferred Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques and methods. Knowledge of Medical supply function and terminology a plus. Knowledge of systems and software - proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/ or relevant position software programs. Experience creating, composing, and editing correspondence and other written materials with attention to detail. Experience organizing resources and establishing priorities making sure projects meet deadlines and completion. Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment. Ability to personally provide high level of interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs. Problem-solving and organizational skills Must have the ability to work well with all departments.Computer Skills:
