This pivotal role involves managing inventory control, transportation planning, and process improvement initiatives to ensure seamless order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and distribution activities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in warehouse supervision, logistics management, and supply chain analytics, contributing to operational excellence and cost efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team while implementing innovative strategies aligned with industry best practices. Duties Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment to ensure timely and accurate processing. Develop and implement process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. Manage transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline logistics workflows. Supervise warehouse staff, including dispatching, forklift operation, and team leadership to maintain high performance standards. Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and freight carriers to optimize freight costs and delivery schedules. Monitor inventory levels using ERP systems such as AS400 or equivalent; conduct demand planning and procurement activities to meet production needs. Lead budgeting efforts related to warehousing, transportation, and procurement; analyze supply chain data for insights using supply chain analytics tools. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, shipping & receiving protocols, and warehouse distribution procedures. Collaborate with procurement teams on purchasing decisions; oversee materials management and inventory control processes. Implement supply chain management strategies that improve overall logistics performance while reducing costs. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse supervision, logistics management, or operations leadership within a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of supply chain principles including inventory management, procurement, freight forwarding, and transportation planning. Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or similar. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like Lean and continuous improvement practices. Experience managing budgets, demand planning, production planning, and supply chain analytics. Supervisory experience leading teams in shipping & receiving, dispatching, forklift operation, and warehouse distribution. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to analyze data for decision-making purposes. Effective communication skills capable of coordinating across multiple departments including procurement, transportation providers, and internal teams.
