SUMMARY The Inbound & Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all inbound receiving activities and ensuring endtoend inventory accuracy within a fastpaced 3PL warehouse environment. As a key member of the Operations leadership team, this role ensures inventory integrity from receipt to storage, supports customer commitments, and drives process discipline, continuous improvement, and strong operational controls.
This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, IT/WMS, and Customer teams to identify root causes of inventory variances, implement corrective actions, and ensure inbound workflows and inventory controls are executed to standard across shifts. RESPONSIBILITIESProcess and input all validated claims and adjustments in Red Prairie (WMS) and Pack Manager.
Research inventory discrepancies and provide root cause analysis.
Maintain accurate filing system Respond to clients promptly and report feedback to managementLiaise between warehouse and customerDevelop procedure manual which details the processing requirements for RP. (WMS) and Pack Manager.
Investigate and reports variances to managementManage Team of Inventory CoordinatorsPerform and schedule regular cycle countsSchedule daily empty bin auditsConduct incidental audits of orders and receipts including location audits to preserve the integrity of the Warehouse Management SystemCoordinate and participate in all scheduled physical inventories on schedules dictated by the customerAssist management with space utilization and availabilityProcess damaged inventory including month end cut off proceduresCommunicate directly with the customer daily, provide required reportsInbound OperationsLead and manage all inbound receiving activities, including scheduling, unloading, verification, system receipt, and putaway readiness.
Ensure inbound receipts are executed accurately and on time in line with customer SLAs and contractual requirements.
Partner with Transportation, Planning, and Operations teams to manage dock utilization and inbound capacity.
Investigate and resolve inbound discrepancies (shortages, overages, damages, mislabeling) and ensure proper system and customer visibility.
Support new customer onboarding by defining inbound processes, requirements, and WMS setup.
Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement training or certification.
Minimum five (5) years hands on experience in Inventory Control using a Warehouse Management System, preferably Red Prairie (RP)Minimum of five (5) years of logistics, supply chain, manufacturing or packaging experienceMinimum of three (3) years of experience supervising or managing employee

REQUIREMENTS
Strong analytical, data evaluation, problem-solving, presentation skills. Ability to translate data analysis into frameworks and action plans and lead execution Youll also need time management skills, to help you tackle operational challenges. EXPERIENCE
/ EDUCATIONBachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business preferred.
