Inventory Manager- $90,000-100K Job Description The Inventory Manager oversees warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory control and efficient, cost-effective distribution. This role manages warehouse staff, tracks shipments, analyzes demand trends, optimizes warehouse layouts, and uses inventory software to maintain precise records that support a high-volume distribution environment. Responsibilities Lead and manage warehouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to safety and productivity standards. Track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely, accurate receipt and delivery of goods. Analyze demand trends to maintain optimal inventory levels and support supply chain and logistics planning. Optimize warehouse layouts to improve storage utilization, material flow, and picking efficiency. Use inventory management software and computer systems to maintain accurate, real-time inventory records. Perform and oversee regular inventory counts and cycle counts to identify and resolve discrepancies. Safely operate industrial trucks, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts and reach trucks, to load, unload, transport, and stack goods as needed. Conduct and enforce safety checks on forklifts and other material-handling equipment before use. Prepare and oversee the preparation of orders for shipping, ensuring correct quantities, labeling, and documentation. Coordinate warehouse inventory activities in a 3PL warehouse environment supporting data center operations. Ensure proper data entry and documentation for inventory movements, shipments, and receipts. Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance service levels. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment that supports efficient and safe operations. Essential Skills Proven experience in inventory management and inventory control within a warehouse or distribution environment. Hands-on experience in a 3PL warehouse environment, preferably supporting data center operations or similar high-demand settings. Ability to safely operate industrial trucks, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts and reach trucks. Strong understanding of warehouse inventory processes, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. Proficiency with inventory management software and strong general computer skills. Experience with logistics management and supply chain coordination. Ability to manage and coordinate warehouse staff to meet operational goals. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping. Commitment to safety practices, including conducting and following equipment safety checks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfort working in a high-volume distribution or 3PL environment. Ability to pass a forklift and reach truck driving test within the first few days of employment. Strong analytical skills for reviewing demand trends and optimizing warehouse layouts. Effective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and warehouse staff.
