We are currently seeking an Assistant Parts Manager to support our team and customers at the dealership's Oxford, OH or Richmond, IN locations.
Purpose:
Serves as the second-in-command for the parts department, responsible for executing daily operations, driving accountability, and ensuring performance against dealership standards and KPIs. This role functions as the primary operator of the department, supporting the Parts Manager in achieving customer satisfaction and profitability goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Promote a working environment that drives Customer satisfaction through fast response and the right parts at the right time Maintain strong relationships with teammates and Customers, internal and external, with proactive communication and quick resolution or escalation. Provide and ensure consistent coverage of counter, phone, shop, and after-hours support. Oversee inventory integrity as directed by Parts Manager (eg. inventory counts, bin management, negative on hand, returns processing, receipting, stock orders, machine-down prioritization, transfers, and back-order management). Promote and maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the parts department including the lobby, counter, and storage area(s). Promote growth of the Parts department Drive parts sales thru direct call campaigns, in-store promotions, and offering alternative and complimentary parts to Customers. Proactively engage with Parts Manager on identifying and fostering new Customer relationships. Lead by example to foster employee development Act as on-site leader in absence of Parts Manager. Lead by example and hold teammates accountable to performance expectations and dealership standards. Take a personal interest in the onboarding and development of parts department personnel. Other duties as assigned by Parts Manager.
Qualifications:
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Strong knowledge of inventory systems, parts lookup, and dealership processes. Basic knowledge of agricultural, turf, or compact construction equipment preferred. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and access all shelves in the parts department.
