Position Overview The Inventory Control Administrator serves as the primary owner of inventory accuracy and integrity, leading all physical inventory activities and inventory‑related reporting across the operation. This role combines hands‑on system expertise, data analysis, and cross‑functional leadership to ensure inventory controls, reconciliation, and compliance standards are consistently met. This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented, tech‑savvy administrator who is highly proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, thrives in data‑driven environments, and can confidently lead physical inventory events while partnering with operations, logistics, and finance. Key Responsibilities Inventory Ownership & Control Lead and oversee all physical inventory activities, including planning, execution, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and post‑inventory reporting.
Own the cycle count program:
scheduling, variance analysis, corrective actions, and system adjustments Monitor, analyze, and continuously improve inventory accuracy, inventory levels, and transaction integrity Investigate discrepancies using root‑cause methodologies and implement sustainable countermeasures Systems, Data & Reporting Serve as the system expert for inventory‑related ERP processes (e.g., QAD or similar ERP platforms) Analyze daily and periodic inventory reconciliation reports, identifying trends and risks Approve inventory adjustments and recounts in accordance with company policy prior to management approval Develop and maintain inventory dashboards, reports, and tracking tools using Excel and ERP data Support system integrity related to BOM accuracy, transaction timing, material movements, and disposals Leadership & Cross‑Functional Support Lead, coordinate, and support associates involved in inventory and physical count activities Train and support operations, logistics, and other departments on inventory processes and system usage Act as a key point of contact for inventory‑related questions, audits, and process improvement initiatives Compliance & Governance Support compliance activities including QMS/EMS audits, corporate governance, and internal controls (e.g., JSOX) Ensure inventory processes align with company standards, audit requirements, and documentation controls Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or enhance inventory processes using system tools and data Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, efficiency, and data visibility Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a business, supply chain, or quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics) preferred, or equivalent experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience 3+ years of inventory control or manufacturing experience with hands‑on ERP system usage Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (QAD preferred; SAP, Oracle, or similar acceptable) Preferred Skills Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on data Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, or automated reporting) Experience supporting audits or regulatory compliance related to inventory Continuous improvement or problem‑solving methodologies (Lean, root cause analysis, etc.) Physical Requirements Ability to work in an industrial/manufacturing environment Standing, walking, and sitting as required Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted Ability to analyze written and electronic data for extended periodsPay:
